(Spoiler Alert!!!!!!! Couldn’t help myself from mentioning some points)😋
This tale is like no other..A tale so unique and wondrous, it will make it impossible for the reader to keep the book down.
Lexie Taylor, a seventeen-year-old student nurse in tropical North Queensland finds working there hard having been assigned under the hospital’s infamous “The Huntsman”. However things start to turn rather interesting with the admission of a new “weird” so-to-speak patient. Lexie’s baffled by his odd and uncooperative behaviour towards everyone. But she finds herself drawn to the enigmatic Myall, who, though does not cooperate with anyone else in the hospital somehow opens himself up to her and pours down such secrets which Lexie finds fantastic but believes him anyway.
As Lexie begins to trust him, Myall reveals he is a Reigntime creature – a magical and immortal being from the Awakening – who will die if he is kept in the hospital. Lexie is sure about 3 facts.
1. She needs to find a way to break Myall out of the hospital.
2. She is completely in love with him.
3. She won’t ever lose anyone else (after the death of her older brother) again.
Lexie comes across another Reigntime creature who, she later understands from Myall, is extremely dangerous and is after them. They figure out their escape plan and soon transform it into action in which, they though had almost messed it up, was successful and they travel deep into the dangerous tropics of Kakadu.
Though they reach their destination after passing numerous obstacles and heal Myall, they both face the biggest threat of their lives – never to meet one another again after Myall’s task is complete.
This book is very much captivating and the plots is fresh. It is like one always keep looking forward for something new, stories of vampires, ghosts and many more have been a constant topic for stories for years making reader guess whatever the events might turn out to be. But not in this tale. I am absolutely adding it to my favourite series and am waiting to read the next part of the series.
